Following the success of its first two seasons, the 2025 Talent Incubator Workshop will return as part of the 3rd Da Nang Asian Film Festival (DANAFF III). The workshop is jointly organized by the DANAFF Organizing Committee and the Autumn Meeting program — a highly regarded acting initiative designed for young talents committed to pursuing long-term careers in cinema. Now in its third year, the program continues to affirm its role as a professional and intensive training space for those who are serious about the craft of acting.
In previous editions, the Workshop welcomed many promising young actors who have since appeared in various film and television projects. Notable alumni include Khazsak Phạm Thanh Nhi (The Land of Morning Calm – an entry at several international film festivals), Khánh Nhi (The Tunnels), Lê Công Hoàng (Glorious Ashes), and Thanh Thảo (The Apple Tree Blooms). Participants benefit from a hands-on learning environment that emphasizes individual exercises, group collaboration, and direct interaction with instructors.
The 2025 edition comprises two classes: Basic Acting and Advanced Acting. Outstanding participants were selected through a casting process held in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. The five-day workshop will take place from June 30 to July 4, 2025, at the General Science Library of Da Nang.
A key highlight of the 2025 Talent Incubator Workshop is the direct instruction by two international trainers with extensive experience in working with emerging actors:
· The Basic Acting Workshop will be led by Ms. Lydia Park, an acting coach from Republic of Korea with over 15 years of experience. A graduate in Acting and Directing from the Korea National University of Arts, she has taught at numerous performing arts institutions in both Korea and Vietnam. Ms. Park has also served as an acting consultant for film and theatre projects featured at festivals such as Jeonju and Bucheon.
· The Advanced Acting Workshop will be conducted by Mr. Tada Junnosuke, a renowned Japanese theatre director. He is the founder of the Tokyo Deathlock performance collective and was once the youngest Artistic Director of a public theatre in Japan. In addition to teaching as a visiting lecturer, he has worked extensively as a stage artist and advisor for various international arts initiatives, known for his interactive and audience-centered directing style.
The 2025 Talent Incubator Workshop continues its mission to nurture the next generation of Vietnamese actors through rigorous training, international mentorship, and meaningful artistic exchange.
