Alexis Dantec is a film and finance professional with a dual background in economics and audiovisual production. Since 2021, he has served as CEO of Les Films du Losange, a historic French art-house production and distribution company. He is also the founder of Babylone 222, which operates several cinemas in Paris and Marseille (Les Trois Luxembourg, Le Luminor, Les Variétés, Artplexe).
Since 2003, he has led the SOFICA COFINOVA funds (1 to 22), which have invested over €110 million in 347 films, 68 TV projects, and 50 development companies, in partnership with ARTE France and many independent producers. He also works as a producer with The French Connection, with several feature films to his credit. Before moving into the cultural sector, Alexis Dantec was an economist at Banque Indosuez and the OFCE, specializing in pensions, the labor market, and the economics of cultural goods.
