Synopsis

The film weaves between past and present. During the war, Quỳ served as a military nurse on the Trường Sơn battlefield and fell in love with Hòa, a platoon leader. However, Hòa was killed in action. After peace was restored, Quỳ entered a new relationship with Phiên, Hòa’s close friend, who deeply loves her. Despite this, Quỳ finds herself unable to let go of the past or fully embrace the life that lies ahead.

Director's biography

People’s Artist Nguyễn Thanh Vân (born July 19, 1962) is a renowned film producer and director whose acclaimed works have earned major awards in Vietnam and across Asia. His notable films include Người đàn bà mộng du, Chuyện tình trong ngõ hẹp, Cây bạch đàn vô danh, and Đời cát, etc. He was awarded the State Prize in 2007 and conferred the title of People’s Artist in 2012. He also served as Deputy Director of the Vietnam Feature Film Studio.
