Synopsis
The film follows a group of teenagers who join the Young Reconnaissance Unit under the Trần Cao Vân Regiment during the resistance war against the French. Through stories inspired by real-life child soldiers, the audience is introduced to seemingly small yet extraordinary characters whose heroic achievements - earned through blood, sweat, and tears - contributed to the fight for national liberation.
Director's biography
Meritorious Artist Nguyễn Vinh Sơn was born on June 9, 1953, in Huế. He is widely known for directing Đất Phương Nam, the first Vietnamese television series to be exported to the United States, where it gained significant popularity. In 2008, his feature film Trăng nơi đáy giếng won the Silver Lotus Award for Best Feature Film at the 16th Vietnam Film Festival, and went on to receive multiple international accolades.
