Synopsis

Song of the Stork is a poignant journey through time of chance encounters, haunting memories, and the enduring sorrows that remain untouched even after 25 years. The story begins in April 1968, when a group of new recruits arrive at the Xuân Mai training camp in preparation for joining the resistance war against America. Young soldiers Mạnh, Văn, May, Vinh, and Lâm only spend a short time together, yet they form an unbreakable bond. Through each character’s personal story, the film paints a mosaic of youthful optimism, quiet resilience, and the shared dream of a unified Vietnam - capturing the spirit of a generation shaped by war, but not defeated by it.
