WORK TO DO
Synopsis
Jun-hee Kang, a fourth-year deputy is assigned to the HR team and is told to restructure the company to lay off 150 employees. Although he doesn't want to do it, he and the HR team select the layoffs, saying it's necessary to save the company. As the process unfolds, the company's preferences become clearer and clearer, and Joon-hee is forced to choose between a senior colleague and her best friend.
Director's biography
Park Hong-jun majored in Library and Information Science in college. After graduation, while working in the HR department of a shipyard in Busan, he studied film and began making movies. After completing two short films, he decided to leave the company. During his time at that company, the global shipbuilding industry was in a downturn, and the company was undergoing restructuring. Based on that experience, he wrote the script for Work to do and made his directorial feature debut.
