Synopsis

Set in the French colonial time of 1930s in Southern Vietnam, the movie is an interesting journey of how the legendary son of Bac Lieu was created. Huy, an adored son of Bac Lieu’s richest landlord at the time. Being put under his father’s shadow, Huy always trying to find a way to prove himself. Coming back after studying abroad in France, he seemed to disregard his father’s traditional style: arranged marriage, family business. He chooses a literally different way of living maybe just to escape from his father’s enormous shadow. He inadvertently created outstanding business deals for the family, leaving a great legacy for "Bac Lieu". But little did he know, that it is only his dad’s secret plan to educate a stubborn child and make him as legendary as his fate destined.
