In 2025, the 3rd Da Nang Asian Film Festival (DANAFF III – 2025) was held on an unprecedented scale in terms of size, duration, and content, with more than 100 films officially selected for screening (compared to 46 films at DANAFF I and 63 films at DANAFF II). The number of screenings also doubled.
DANAFF III – 2025 marked a major expansion in both scale and duration.
Notably, the third edition of DANAFF was extended from five to seven consecutive days, introducing several new highlights. Among the most significant was the launch of the “Panorama of Asian Cinema” program, which curated outstanding Asian films that achieved success at international film festivals over the past year, alongside titles choosing DANAFF for their premiere screenings. This year also marked the introduction of the “Asian Film Critics Award” within the “Panorama of Asian Cinema” program.
For the first time, as a key activity within DANAFF Talents, the “Project Market” (Project Incubator) was organized with two main categories: Asian Art-house Film Projects and Vietnamese Genre Film Projects. The initiative attracted strong interest from filmmakers both domestically and internationally, underscoring DANAFF’s growing professional appeal and its role as a platform for connection and long-term support of cinematic creativity.

In addition to its signature programs, the Da Nang City announced the city’s Top 10 Outstanding Cultural Events of 2025 (as selected by the Da Nang City), among which was the 3rd Da Nang Asian Film Festival 2025 – DANAFF III.
