Synopsis
In a remote village, Rukhiya and Phekan face poverty and social discrimination. Phekan leaves for work in the city but is betrayed, exploited, and left with nothing. Rukhiya, left alone, cruelly judged and haunted by past traumas, illusional whispers, she loses touch with reality. Nehura, a crematorium worker, while seeking redemption, his path unexpectedly crosses with Rukhiya and Phekan, connected to them in a journey of madness and awakening.
Director's biography
Abhilash Sharma is an independent filmmaker who used to work with theatre then transitioned to filmmaking. Abhilash made his directorial debut with the short film Without Ticket Passenger (2010), followed by his first feature film A Thread of Love (2012). His second feature, In the Name of Fire, won Best Director in the Asian section at the Shanghai International Film Festival.
