The Sisters
Synopsis
Inspired by the Vietnamese folktale Tấm Cám, the film is retold from the perspective of Cám - a girl born with an unfortunate appearance and raised in suffering and humiliation. After being sacrificed to the demon Bach Lão, Cám strikes a deal with him to be reborn and return to the village of Hương to take revenge on those who wronged and betrayed her. Cám's ultimate goal is to help Bạch Lão possess her sister Tám's body, infiltrate the royal palace, and take Tám's place as the Crown Prince's wife - granting the demon eternal life in a beautiful form.
