ONCE UPON A LOVE STORY
Synopsis
Vinh and Phuc are best friends. Knowing that Vinh likes Mien, their classmate, Phuc urges him to speak out. But with a timid nature, Vinh chooses to wait quietly for his love seed to germinate. When Phuc decides to help Vinh speak to Mien, he also realizes that his heart and Mien's seem to share the same beat. The innocent age of 17 also passes, Vinh, Phuc and Mien enter life with the irony of fate. The story between them also grows, and all three will have to face the choices in the name of love and happiness.
Director's biography
Trinh Dinh Le Minh is a Vietnamese filmmaker. He got an MFA in Film Production at the University of Texas at Austin. His debut feature, Goodbye Mother has traveled to international film festivals and won several awards, such as Best Narrative Feature Film Jury Award at the 2020 Reeling Film Festival and Audience awards at the 2020 Toronto reel Asian and Philadelphia Asian American Film Festival. The film has been released in more than ten international markets, such as Taiwan, Japan, the USA, Australia, etc. His second feature. Invisible Evidence, has been sold to more than 10 Asian countries and won him the Best Director Award at the 2021 Vietnam Film Festival. Besides being a film director, Minh also teaches filmmaking at Fulbright University Vietnam.
